Do you support exploration of slur usage in media? I don't think calling someone a tranny, nigger, dyke, beaner, chink, faggot or retard is ok at all but I feel if it's fiction it's fine. I'm so sorry if you don't want more questions but I just wanna know!! I don't wanna seem like a bigot while exploring topics that may be uncomfortable to some people /gen

A: Yes, I think people should be able to use them like that, especially if said media is about that kind of thing. I think if they were censored, it would defeat the point of their usage in the first place. Actual racists don't censor their racially motivated words, so a racist character wouldn't either, for example.

Q: yo, I saw that Weird Al blood painting, I thought it was pretty cool. I’ve got a few questions about it. 1. Was it human, pig, or another kind of blood? 2. What was your process of painting with blood? (like if you added anything to the blood, what you painted on, etc.) Thanks and have an awesome day.

A: Thanks. It was my own blood that I painted on a regular canvas with. I used a box cutter as my brush and In that painting in particular I also used black and white markers for his hair. Besides my Andrew W.K. blood painting, I think that one was the most tedious one to make.

Q: sometimes im baffled by the idea that writing about/making jokes about a subject means you endorse it. like?? yes art reflects the artist but my villain oc who is a pedo and dies in a explosion of blood does not mean i am one too. is reading comprehension dead

A: "Demonize the art and villainize the artist" has become the norm. I've had to deal with genuine rape accusations because I've depicted it happening in art pieces in the past. I don't believe art always reflects the artist, especially not their morals, some of us just like to depict interesting things happening. Artists historically have always loved doing that.
